Cool as a Cucumber

One of the most hydrating foods you could eat is a cucumber, consisting of 96% water! Therefore, this summer super star is perfect to help beat the heat, and keep dehydration at bay. You can slice it up and dip it in hummus, or try this Sassy Water Recipe that will not only cool you off but offers a variety of health benefits as well!

 

Sassy Water Ingredients:

•2 liters filtered water
•1 tsp. freshly grated ginger
•1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
•1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
•12 small spearmint leaves, torn

 

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and let sit overnight. Then reap the benefits!
